Intercropping of Radish and Beetroot with Chilli under Prayagraj Agro-Climatic Conditions

A field experiment entitled “Intercropping of Radish and Beetroot with Chilli under Prayagraj Agro-climatic conditions” was conducted from August, 2021 to February, 2022 at the Horticulture Research Farm, Department Horticulture, Sam Higginbottom University Agriculture, Technology Sciences, Prayagraj. The laid out in Randomized Block Design (RBD) three replications 12 treatments. consisted six cropping combinations viz., sole chilli, radish, beetroot, chilli + chilli+ radish beetroot. highest yield (green chilli) obtained treatment T1 (sole @ 100 % RDN) (13.09 t ha-1). Among intercropping treatments, (12.62 ha-1) T10 (chilli 50% RDN whereas lowest (9.45 found T6 75% 12.5% beetroot RDN). Intercropping reduced but total intercrop increased over due contribution companion crops. along (150.71 ha-1), gross return (1101506 Rs. net (817969 benefit cost ratio (3.88) were T12 25% Considering experimental findings, most suitable combination for higher productivity economic agro-climatic conditions.
